All that is presented uniquely with a “ single-shot” camera that never cuts to a new viewpoint, always managing to showcase events around the player in a spectacular and realistic (almost documentary) fashion. The environments, characters, enemies, and visual effects are all crafted with incredible detail, making every moment of exploration and combat engaging and stunning. During this long adventure Kratos and his son visit an incredible variety of environments and fantastical realms of Norse mythology that are crafted as linear experiences that are united by the incredibly innovative central hub area called The Lake of the Nine which can change its form during the length of the campaign. But action is the core of this title, and it does not disappoint. Kratos, who is still struggling with his past, his actions, and the significance of his godhood, needs to learn how to let go of his anger and teach his young son how to be a better person than him, to not take advantage of his godlike powers, and open up about many secrets of his own family.

This takes the unsuspecting duo on an adventure of much grander scope than they have expected, forcing them not only to find solutions to many combat encounters on their way (including a few incredibly epic boss battles) but also emotional barriers between two very different personalities. God of War for PC version starts with a funeral, and a Kratos trying to fulfill the dying wish of his late wife to take his son Atreus and bring her ashes on the highest mountain in all the realms. Even though this is not a reboot or re-imagination of the entire franchise, new players can find this game a perfect starting point and introduction into the story of this fascinating character, which has found himself in a new land of Norse mythology, ready for a brand-new adventure of epic scope, emotional moments, and incredible action. God of War (2018) follows the latest adventure of Spartan warrior Kratos, set centuries after his destruction of the Greek pantheon of gods. Focusing on a brand-new chapter of the life of God-killer Kratos, this celebrated 2018 adventure has received a wide array of high-profile awards, including almost 200 GOTY awards from publications from all around the world, awards for the screenplay, direction, acting and even the Game of the Year award on The Game Awards 2018 ceremony.
